Note A spec data mapping ties together a specific material, country, and manufacturing site. When you log a batch with that specific combination of values, the corresponding spec data mapping will automatically be assigned and it will create the necessary samples, tests, results, and criteria records.
  5. Optionally, enter the External Batch ID, Amount, and Unit of Measure.

  6. Optionally, enter the Manufacture Date, Expiration Date, and Due Date for the batch.

    Screenshot step 6

Note To prepare for future trending capability coming in 2026, the Manufacture Date should be entered.
Note If populated, the Due Date will cascade to the sample(s).
  7. Click Save.

    Screenshot step 7

The batch is created in the Active state and a Spec Execution record is created.

Note If there is no matching Spec Data found, you will receive a warning message. Click Continue if you want to Initiate the Spec Ex & Assign Spec Data.
