Create a Material

Materials represent manufactured product such as drug substances and drug products, and are often dosage specific.

Create a Material

To create a material:

1. Navigate to Design & Admin > Setup Data > Materials and click Create.

   

2. Enter a unique Material ID.

3. Optionally, select the material Type.

4. Optionally, provide a Description to capture additional information about the material that should display on the CoA, for example, packaging information, part number, etc.

   

5. In the CoA Field Suppression section, you can choose which fields should be excluded when a CoA is generated for a batch of this material. Check the box for any field you want to hide.

   Note Blank fields will always be hidden on the CoA.

   

6. Click Save. The material is added in the Active state.

   

Inactivate a Material

To inactivate a material:

1. Open the material record and select Inactivate Material from the Workflow menu.

   

2. Click Yes to confirm.
