Manage Study Training in your Quality Basics Vault

Last updated: May 6, 2026
Best Practice We recommend using crosslinks to bring version-specific documents into Quality Basics and train learners on study-specific documents there.

If you do not have an eTMF Vault, you can use the alternate method.

With an eTMF Vault

If you have an eTMF Vault:

  1. Create crosslinks to bring your study-specific documents into your Quality Vault.

Important Make sure to mark the documents confidential in your Quality Vault to ensure the documents are only visible to the learners assigned them for training, doc control users, and admins.
  2. Create Learner Roles, Curricula, and Training Requirements, making sure the correct learners are added to the learner roles.

Note Training is evaluated on an hourly basis, at the half-hour mark. Associated Learner Roles, Curricula, and Training Requirements must be in Ready for Use state in order for training to be sent out or cancelled.

Without an eTMF Vault

If you do not have an eTMF Vault, you can:

  1. Add your study-specific documents to your Quality Vault and classify them as Training Material > Clinical.

Important Make sure to mark the documents confidential to ensure the documents are only visible to the learners assigned them for training, doc control users, and admins.
