Create a Draft from an Approved Document

Complete the following steps to create a draft from an approved document:

  1. From the Submission Mgmt > Library tab, open the approved document you want to create a draft from.
  2. From the All Actions menu, select Create Draft.
  3. Select an action in the Create Draft dialog:
    • To create a new draft using the existing file, click Copy.
    • To upload a new file, click Upload, select the document file you want, and click Open.
  4. Optional: Enter a Version Description.
  5. Click Create. Vault creates a new document in the Draft state and assigns it the next minor version.
