Vault Sandbox & Production Environments

Sandbox and Production are two distinct environments within Veeva Vault and are not linked. There is no automatic synchronization of data or documents between them. Consequently, any records created in a Sandbox must be manually replicated or migrated to Production if you want them in Production.

Sandbox and Production environments have different styling as a visual aid designed to help users distinguish between environments. You can temporarily change the header color of your Sandbox environment to mimic Production, however, changing the color is purely cosmetic and does not convert a Sandbox into a Production environment or navigate you between environments.

To temporarily remove Sandbox styling, click SBX in the header.

To navigate between your Sandbox and Production environments, use the Vault selector (if your Sandbox user has been set up as a cross domain user from your Production environment).
